Data Deletion Instructions

Overview

BookingBot (operated by Receptionist.ge) respects your right to have your personal data deleted. This page explains how to request removal of data we store in connection with our AI booking assistant service.

What Data We Store

When you interact with a business using our platform via WhatsApp or Instagram, we may store the following:

  • Your phone number or Instagram handle
  • Your display name (as provided by the messaging platform)
  • Message content exchanged with the business
  • Booking or appointment information (if applicable)
  • Message delivery status and timestamps

How to Request Deletion

Option 1: Email Request

Send an email to privacy@bookingbot.co with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include:

  • Your WhatsApp phone number or Instagram handle used to contact the business
  • The name of the business you communicated with (if known)

We will process your request and delete all associated data within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email once deletion is complete.

Option 2: Through Facebook / Meta

If you connected through Facebook or Instagram, you can request data deletion directly from your Facebook settings:

  1. Go to your Facebook Settings > Apps and Websites.
  2. Find "BookingBot" (our app) in the list.
  3. Click "Remove" and select the option to delete your data.

When you do this, Facebook sends us an automated deletion request. We process it and provide a confirmation code you can use to check the status.

Option 3: Contact the Business Directly

You may also contact the business you were communicating with and ask them to request deletion of your conversation data through our platform.

What Happens After Deletion

  • All your messages, contact information, and booking data associated with our platform will be permanently removed.
  • Some data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before automatic expiry.
  • We cannot delete data held by Meta (WhatsApp/Instagram) or third-party AI providers — you must contact them directly for that.
  • Deletion is irreversible. Conversation history cannot be recovered.

For Business Tenants

If you are a business using our platform and wish to delete your entire account and all associated data (including all customer conversations), email privacy@bookingbot.co with the subject line "Tenant Account Deletion". We will process full account deletion within 30 days.
